God is Growing You!

Matthew 17:20 20 He said to them, Because of the littleness of your faith [that is, your lack of firmly relying trust]. For truly I say to you, if you have faith that is living] like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to yonder place, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.

Over in Asia there is a plant called the Chinese Bamboo.  This thing actually grows up to ninety feet tall.  The thing is for five years it does not grow. But you still have to water it and take care of it for five years. Then when it hits the fifth year mark of its life it starts growing 48 inches every hour. In five more weeks from the first growth spurt it grows to ninety feet.

So here is my question for you today. Did the Bamboo tree grow in five weeks or did it grow in five years?

Listen to me today. God is GROWING you right now! You may not see it or feel it, but he is watering you, he is putting down fertilizer in your life preparing you for that sudden outburst of a ‘Whole nutha level’. But you haven’t even come out of the ground. Your seed is still germinating you are gaining strength and when you do come out of ground but God knows there is going to be storms with hurricane winds that could pull up your roots. You are in a growth pattern with God even if you do not see it. (Come on somebody that’ll preach!!!!)

Because when you do come out of the ground, no one will be able to shake you, pull you out of the ground, uproot you. WHY? Because your roots are buried deep into the ground because of God’s preparation in your life in getting you ready.

6 Things to keep you growing:

  1. Stay consistent with your hopes and dreams even if you don’t see results. It takes time to build.

  2. Master your current level where you are right now.

  3. “For you to have everything in life you want you must first help enough other people get what they want!” – Zig Ziglar

  4. Keep that “Positive” attitude – it’s infectious

  5. You have to become a Finisher of what you start. If you are one that starts something, then starts something else, then starts something else…Where is the finish line. Don’t just keep re-inventing the wheel but finish it.

  6. THINK Excellence, BE Excellent, Do things excellently

If you are faithful in the little things God knows you will be faithful in the large things.
